How Do Ideas Come to Life?

Ideas develop between people, but how do they materialise and come to life? Hobelsberger Studios enriches projects with a deep understanding of light, technology and material characteristics. My aim is to co-create with artists and architects, enabling them to realise outstanding ideas through supportive contributions.

During my period at Zumtobel Lighting, I was involved in work to support Studio Olafur Eliasson with the realisation of their art installation, formulated in the building envelope for the Harpa in Reykjavik. The building is a great concert hall and conference centre, designed by Henning Larsen Architects.

The project is a good example of Zumtobel’s cutting-edge approach in working with international artists and creating outstanding solutions. These are processes that are highly enjoyable to me: working in an inspiring collaboration with people who want to push the boundaries and really love what they are doing.

I am honoured to have contributed to some of the projects at Zumtobel for around ten years. Hobelsberger Studios was created in 2015 to continue this fascinating work with international artists and architects and to create unique products.
